Ticketmaster's Minimaster Guide - Family Shows and Children's Events

Our Minimaster guide is the ultimate guide for finding family friendly activities for both adults and kids to enjoy.

For the youngest fans, check out our Minimaster Junior Guide, tailored especially for children aged 5 -8 years’ old. Our Minimaster Plus Guide will ensure you’re sorted for kids aged 8 and over.  Our guide covers everything from theatre, sport, concerts and music events. It also includes family friendly attractions and fun events going on for all ages to enjoy. Our Minimaster guide has you covered when you’re looking for ideas to keep the little ones – and not so little ones! – entertained. Whether you’re looking to make the most of the last of the summer holidays, or find tickets for some back to school treats, then look no further.

View all of our fun-packed ideas from family festival events in the great outdoors in the heart of the countryside and in locations across the UK. Or for those rainy days, why not check out an exciting exhibition or drop-in to a museum. Inspire an interest in culture and arts from an early age and catch a theatre show in the West End.

Family TV shows, Book and Film Live Adaptions on Stage

Our guide contains classic family favourites like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, or Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Concert for those looking for a mix of magic and music. Disney Fans can enjoy a nostalgia trip with the award-winning The Lion King musical live on stage or see Disney’s Aladdin play.  If dancing is more your scene, why not catch the professionals from TV and watch the Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals dance tour.

Childhood favourites

If you’re looking to keep the littlest ones entertained after the school holidays, create some priceless memories and meet TV character heroes, such as Peppa and family in Peppas Pig’s Best Day Ever!  live on stage, or join Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka from In The Night Garden for a magical experience they won’t forget! Matilda the Musical is also a not to be missed show to delight adults and children alike as the timeless classic takes to the stage in Cambridge Theatre.

Experience the magic of classic fairytales brought to life on stage, such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for an amazing fun-filled twist on the fairytale books. Live TV adaptions on stage such as Grandpa’s Great Escape from December – January 2020 are also not to be missed, along with family favourite musical School of Rock in London until January 2020.

To discover even more culture and arts events, check out our West End and Classical Guides.

Family Sports Events for Kids

For young sports fans, why not check out Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium, or the London Lions basketball at Copper Box Arena from September to next May. Cricket fans and family can also enjoy Vitality Blast in various locations across the UK until the end of September. Read more about all of our sports events in the Sports Guide.

Family Attractions & Child Friendly Events

Looking to keep the kids busy after the summer holidays?  Keep the little ones content with an interactive adventure such as spending the day exploring the Crystal Maze Live Experience in London’s West End or in Manchester. Or explore the great outdoors and visit the Zoo at the ZSL London Zoo, or enjoy a day trip to The Big Feastival in Alex Jame’s Farm in the idyllic Cotswolds – the perfect family day out full of feasting and fun!

We also have a selection of indoor events suitable for children – perfect for that rainy day!  Indoor activities for kids include tours such as Body Worlds – the Museum experience, and the Bond in Motion exhibit at the London Film Museum, which contains props and original vehicles from the iconic film series.

Family Concerts and Music Events

Our guide also contains music events and concerts suitable for younger audiences and adults alike. Young fans can look forward to seeing fan favourites such as Little Mix and Jess Glynne live in concert this year. For more music and festival inspiration, see our Concerts & Tours Guide and Festival Finder.

Along with the different sections, you can search our guide by date range for family events or A-Z for an easy browsing experience. Young people and adults alike will find a broad variety of events to satisfy every taste.  So whether you’re looking for things to do with the kids this week, this weekend or this month, you’ve come to the right place.
